Edelman today is announcing the appointment of Lorenz Esguerra to lead the company’s Dallas and Houston offices, effective at the end of this month.
“From the first moments of our first conversation, I knew that Lorenz was the type of leader we needed to realize our vision for the future,” said Ross. “His track record of success building, maintaining, and growing client relationships—coupled with his belief in finding the best talent and creating opportunities for them to soar—was the perfect match at the perfect time. I couldn’t be more pleased and proud to partner with him.”
Esguerra most recently served as EVP and GM of Weber Shandwick’s Minneapolis operations, where he oversaw over 90 staff members and transformed the office into a growth engine for the firm. His 30-year career includes stints at BBDO and Bain & Company, and in-house roles at Mattel and P&G.
“I am both humbled and excited to join Edelman's U.S. Leadership Team soon,” said Esguerra. “I look forward to collaborating with inclusive teams to achieve exponential growth and cultural uplift in Dallas and Houston as well as across the network.” Esguerra joins fellow new hires Tony Silva, who joins Edelman this week from Ogilvy as GM, Public Sector, and Andrea Corso, who joined Edelman on July 14 from Daimler Trucks as EVP of Corporate in the Pacific Northwest region.
Edelman also announced the promotion of Dan Susong, a 15-year veteran of the firm, as Chair, U.S. Tech Sector. Susong will retain his role as GM of Edelman’s Austin office. Jorge Ortega, previously the GM of Edelman’s Southwest region, will move into a new role as Senior Advisor, U.S. Market Development.
