Our Approach

Legal challenges today aren’t confined to the courtroom.

Swift, strategic communications can protect an organization’s reputation and license to operate in ways that legal intervention alone cannot.

To navigate this environment in partnership with lawyers and our clients, we have developed and continuously hone an approach to litigation and legal communications founded in proven practices, empowered by the full capabilities of Edelman, and—always—pointed toward trust.

Legal & Communications Partnership

Lawyers and communicators work better together. As partners in service to our shared clients, we are better positioned to manage risk, reach stakeholders, and protect critical business objectives beyond the next legal milestone.

Campaign
Mindset

We approach legal issues with the discipline, adaptability, and 360-degree view of a political campaign. This means taking a holistic view of legal issues, convening the right internal stakeholders from day one, and planning for every possibility through the full lifecycle of the litigation.

Scaling to Meet
Client Needs

We deploy only the resources you need—from one or two senior experts to fully staffed campaign war-rooms worldwide. In right-sizing for each client, we keep in mind that legal issues involve extended quiet periods and sudden peaks of activity. This requires proactive cost management and efficiencies of scale.

Global Strategy,
Local Execution

Edelman’s unique hub-and-spoke model has long been the top choice for helping to manage cross-border litigation and global legal issues. As the world’s largest communications firm, we offer an unmatched ability to plan globally and execute locally—all while staying in lockstep with the legal strategy.
